Organization Narrative

The Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams (KAWS) has a strong track record in assisting WRAPS in all stages of progression. We offer our network of partners to help each WRAPS group fully develop and implement their plans. KAWS provides 100 percent coverage of the state with 12 chapters and local chapter members that are residents and stakeholders in their watershed. Our staff is dedicated to protection, restoration and creation of wetlands, streams, and their associated riparian areas. This is illustrated by the fact that KAWS has been promoting water quality improvement for the past 14 years and has a strong record in providing quality demonstration projects to showcase wetland, stream and riparian area technologies with over 260 projects completed to date.
